Expertise

CTP TEAM members are trusted and utilized in Project Management, Research and Development, Consulting, Training, Policy, Implementation and Operational roles by clients demanding the highest levels of integrity and professionalism, including the Department of Defense, Central Intelligence Agency, Office of the Director of National Intelligence, Federal Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Missile Defense Agency, nuclear and critical Infrastructure facilities, FEMA, NASA, USMC, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, USAF, USCG and more. Volatility in today’s world places new demands on our domestic civilian sector and we have been honored to bring our uniquely holistic and multidisciplinary Safety, Security and Emergency Management framework to resorts, corporate campuses, healthcare organizations, schools, communities of faith, emergency management agencies and to local emergency responders. CTP set the international standard for threat preparedness through the development and application of the International Comprehensive Emergency Preparedness Standard (ICEPS), which defines stringent accreditation criteria identifying core factors of extraordinary commitment and demonstrated capability in safety, security, and emergency management.

The International Comprehensive Emergency Preparedness Standard (iceps)

The International Comprehensive Emergency Preparedness Standard (ICEPS) is the world’s most holistic and effective approach to safety. ICEPS accreditation is categorized into three Tiers, and identifies organizations who meet stringent criteria of emergency preparedness and emergency management capability.

Application Process

Organizations seeking ICEPS accreditation should apply with CTP for evaluation by a certified currently registered ICEPS-ICAS provider. The organization will undergo an extensive assessment and approval process which identifies both capability and areas of opportunity for improvement, and establishes whether that organization meets a given ICEPS Tier.

Physical Security and Safety Engineering, and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design

Physical security architecture has potential to negatively impact environments, experience and morale. CTP utilizes CPTED and other proprietary multidisciplinary approaches to physical security and human threat prevention, applying both constructed and existing urban, natural and architectural design and aesthetic architecture to achieve desired results without compromising the beauty of an environment or the comfort of those within it.

CPTED’s physical security enhancements reduce victimization, deter offender decisions that precede criminal acts, create defensible space, improve detection and response capability, build a sense of community among inhabitants, and contribute to the overall aesthetic and comfort of any environment.

Behavioral Threat Assessment, Management and Prevention

CTP uses BTAM (Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management), neurolinguistic analysis, and other techniques to reliably investigate and assess concerning behaviors and human threat potential.

CTP also focuses heavily on preemptive psychological & behavioral culture-shaping strategies which “fill in the gaps” in the behavioral health of our young people (decreased empathy, depersonalization, decreased empathy development, decreased interpersonal communication including diminished ability to interpret body language, etc.).  These behaviors heavily mirror the personality traits observed historically in perpetrators of civilian public mass violence, including active shooters.  By instituting daily processes and focused courses of instruction, we help young people (who grow into adults) build up those areas that are lacking.  This is especially important post-pandemic.

CTP’s programs are readily adoptable and non-political. They help mitigate the occurrence of violence in the first place — a huge area of opportunity, & largely under-addressed by other organizations and approaches.
